Payment by Electronic Check or Credit Card
Property Tax payments can now be made by either electronic check or credit card. Pittsfield Charter Township has entered into an agreement for Official Payment Corporation (OPC) to serve as the processing center for these payments. This service is safe, reliable and in accordance with all state and government regulations. In order to process your tax payment, OPC charges the following convenience fees:
$3.00 for an electronic check payment up to $10,000
$15.00 for an electronic check payment over $10,000
3% for all credit card payments
The convenience fees will appear as a separate line item on either your bank statement or credit card statement. The following credits cards are accepted:
Visa
Master Card
American Express
Discover
If you wish to make your payment by telephone, please contact OPC at (800) 272-9829. The following information will be required:
- Type of payment (property taxes)
- The parcel number of the property for which the taxes are being paid
- The jurisdiction code for Pittsfield Charter Township – 7147
- Your credit card or bank account information
- The amount of taxes being paid
A confirmation number will be provided at the end of the transaction
